Former Bollywood actress Monica Bedi, who was extradited along with her companion, gangster Abu Salem, from Lisbon in Portugal in 2005 and later lodged in jail, and has been just released. She has spent nearly two years in prison. But, she is keen on making a comeback to Bollywood. Besides, she aspires to work with our millennium super star Amitabh Bachchan. She denies that she has any plan to enter politics in spite of several political parties pleading her to join them. This has been announced by Monica at her ancestral home in Punjab after reuniting with the family.
She claims that she has received offers to play key roles in four Hindi, six Telegu and two Punjabi films. She adds, "Negotiations with the producers are on and I shall decide on the offers after I finish going though the scripts. ". However, her unfulfilled wish is to act opposite Amitabh Bachchan. Incidentally, Bedi has already acted in some 50 Hindi, Telegu, Tamil and Bengali films. This is to recall that Bedi had faced trial in Hyderabad and Bhopal for allegedly possessing forged passports. While she was sentenced to three years by the Andhra Pradesh High Court, the Bhopal Court has recently acquitted her in the case.
